During his first international visit as Prime Minister, Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever announced a new aid package for our country of 1 billion euros this year and one billion each year for defense issues in Ukraine, reports the UNN correspondent.

"A new decision has been made in the government. Of course, we will continue humanitarian aid. We are announcing a package of one billion euros in 2025. And every year we will allocate one billion to defense issues," said de Wever.
The head of the Belgian government also noted that cooperation between the two countries in the military-industrial complex is being implemented. He assured that the Belgian side is interested in this topic.
"We brought with us leaders of the industrial complex, because we are very impressed with what Ukraine has achieved in its military-industrial complex, and we know very well that four contracts have already been signed, and there is interest on our part to start production here. This is a win-win situation," said the Belgian Prime Minister.

Belgium will provide Ukraine with two F-16s in 2024 as spare parts, and two more aircraft in 2025. The transfer will take place after Belgium receives the F-35.
