In two months, banks have received more than 7.3 thousand applications for lending to energy infrastructure restoration projects. Applications worth almost UAH 4 billion were approved, of which UAH 607 million are already being used by businesses. This was reported by the NBU on Thursday following a survey of banks, UNN reports.

"In two months, banks have received more than 7.3 thousand applications from businesses and citizens for lending to energy infrastructure restoration projects and approved applications worth almost UAH 4 billion," the NBU cited the results of a survey of 20 banks on lending to business projects to restore energy infrastructure.
According to the NBU, for the period from June 1 to August 4:
- the total amount of 1356 applications received by banks from businesses during this period is UAH 40.1 billion;
- applications worth UAH 3.97 billion were approved - these are already signed agreements and those that will be signed soon;
- business clients are already using financing in the amount of UAH 607 million - this is the gross value of the portfolio of loans granted to legal entities for the development of energy capacities;
- funding has been launched in 21 regions of the country;
- the total capacity of the loans granted to the business is 50.4 mW (preliminary data, which takes into account about 85% of the portfolio).
In addition, the NBU said it provided loans worth UAH 27 million to meet the energy needs of individuals.
The banks' proposals, as noted, take into account the needs of different categories of small, medium and large businesses, as well as households. In particular, entrepreneurs can attract financing for projects to build solar, wind, or biogas plants, as well as for the construction of gas turbine and gas piston power plants, the purchase of industrial batteries, storage devices, etc.
