At the age of 75, two-time Ballon d'Or winner, former striker for the England national team, Liverpool, Newcastle United and German club Hamburg, Kevin Keegan, has died, reports UNN.
"We are deeply saddened by the news of the death of Kevin Keegan, Member of the Order of the British Empire. Between 1972 and 1982, Kevin played 63 matches for the national team and scored 21 goals, and later, in 1999–2000, he managed the 'Three Lions' national team. We extend our condolences to Kevin's family, friends and former clubs," the Football Association said.
The Association added that they will honor his memory with a minute of silence before the England-Spain match at Wembley, which will take place in September.

In 1978, Keegan moved to German club Hamburg, where he won the world's best footballer award - the Ballon d'Or in 1978 and 1979.

Later, Keegan had a move to Southampton and Newcastle United, which he managed twice - from 1992 to 1997 and in 2005.

Manchester City, which Keegan managed from 2001 to 2005, wrote: "Everyone at Manchester City is deeply saddened by the news that our former manager Kevin Keegan has passed away at the age of 75. Kevin was a manager who fundamentally changed the club, bringing optimism and energy to City during the four years he led the team. The promotion campaign in the 2001/02 season will never be forgotten, and in the following years Kevin re-established us as one of the leading Premier League teams.
