Four days of bad weather struck the central regions of the United States, from eastern Texas to southern Kentucky, with devastating tornadoes and life-threatening floods. At least seven people have died in the states of Missouri, Indiana and Tennessee in the past 24 hours, according to ABC News, UNN reports.

Severe weather conditions have triggered more than two dozen tornadoes in the past 24 hours. And weather forecasters do not rule out the possibility of new deadly vortices, as well as dangerous flash floods.
In Missouri, according to the road transport service, Whitewater Fire Chief Harry Moore died while performing his duties. He was probably helping to rescue a trapped driver on the road.
Another death was confirmed in Hendricks County, Indiana, near Indianapolis. According to the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office, a 27-year-old man crashed into downed power lines on the road in a car. He got out of the car and died at the scene from electric shock, "touching live exposed wires."
In addition, five more storm-related fatalities have been confirmed in Tennessee. The state's governor, Bill Lee, spoke of "enormous destruction" caused by a powerful tornado in the town of Selmer, in the southwestern part of the state.
A state of emergency has been declared in the states of Tennessee and Kentucky.
