For six months now, the Artsiz City Council of the Odessa region has been appealing to higher authorities with a demand to introduce benefits for electricity tariffs for non-gasified areas. It was unsuccessful, since the Ministry of energy ignores the appeals of residents of the region, providing formal unsubscriptions in response. The head of the Odessa regional state administration Oleg Kiper promised to help resolve this issue by sending a corresponding appeal to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal. This was told by the chairman of the Artsiz community Sergey Parpulansky, reports UNN.

He clarified that for many families, paying for light has become too much. "For six months now, we have been applying to higher authorities with a demand to solve this problem, but the Ministry of energy continues to openly ignore our question, sending formal unsubscriptions instead of real actions," he writes, adding a copy of the next response letter from the Ministry of energy to the appeal with signatures of community residents.
He also added that now the city council is waiting for a response from the Office of the president and the Cabinet of ministers to the collective appeal sent earlier. In addition, the head of the Odessa RMA Oleg Kiper appealed to the prime minister with a request to help resolve this issue, Parpulansky said.
Earlier, the Ministry of energy, in response to the appeal of residents of the community, offered them to confirm the presence of electric heating by collecting a number of documents. But this process is complex and expensive, especially for apartment buildings, says Parpulansky. Also recallthat for the first time in 20 years , the reconstruction of sewage treatment plants built in 1967 started in Artsiz. The project is funded by the European Investment Bank and local budgets for a total amount of UAH 82 million.
"Thanks to the program for the restoration of Ukraine from the European Investment Bank and the government of Ukraine, the Artsiz community received UAH 69 million for the project. the difference of UAH 13 million will be paid from the local budgets of the Odessa region and the Artsiz community. The project for the reconstruction of sewage treatment plants started on 10.10.2024," the keeper comments.
Thus, new sewage treatment plants will allow: - to stop water pollution and avoid an environmental catastrophe; - to reduce the impact on the climate thanks to energy - saving technologies; - to provide a reliable water treatment system for future generations.
