Archaeologist Aleksandr Butyagin, who was extradited to Russia and is suspected of looting historical artifacts in occupied Crimea, plans to continue his expedition in the area of occupied Kerch. He stated this in an interview with Russian media, reports UNN.
Details
According to him, he intends to return to the leadership of the Myrmekion Archaeological Expedition.
"I think so. The question now is rather whether I will have time to organize the expedition by summer, because it is still necessary to examine the reports there, and since I was out for 5 months, that is a long period,"
He added that "perhaps people will understand my situation. And I think that the work should be continued."
