“The number of Google searches for 'move to Canada' increased by 1270% in the 24 hours after polls closed on the US East Coast on Tuesday. Similar searches for moving to New Zealand increased by almost 2000%, and searches for Australia increased by 820%,” the publication writes.
It is noted that Google searches for emigration have reached their highest level. Some immigration lawyers are also inundated with requests.
“Every half an hour we get a new email request. Obviously, Trump is the impetus for the move, but it's also the society. The majority of Americans voted for him, and some people don't necessarily feel comfortable in this society.
