A ground crossing will appear in the capital of Ukraine across Khreshchatyk Street, as part of the implementation of a barrier-free route project, reports the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Timur Tkachenko, UNN reports.
Details
A ground crossing will soon appear in Kyiv across Khreshchatyk Street at the intersection with Prorizna Street.
Tkachenko noted that Khreshchatyk is one of the busiest streets in the capital of Ukraine, so it is especially important that "Kyiv's calling card is accessible and convenient for everyone."
The post states that the project is being implemented as part of a completely barrier-free route between the Main Military Clinical Hospital, Independence Square and the Central Railway Station.
This route is the first in Kyiv within the flagship project of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine and is part of the initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska "Without Barriers".
It is now known that we have received approval for the work from the Kyiv Patrol Police.
I expect that the works will be carried out promptly and, importantly, efficiently,
Addendum
In the near future, ground pedestrian crossings will also be arranged on Mykhailivska Street near Maidan Nezalezhnosti and across Shevchenko Boulevard near the Universytet metro station, Tkachenko said.
