In the village of Mykilske, Kherson district, a 49-year-old local resident was killed as a result of Russian artillery shelling. This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, according to UNN.

According to the investigation, the attack occurred on May 26 at around 02:00. The Russian military shelled the settlement with artillery, resulting in the man sustaining fatal injuries.

Under the procedural guidance of the Oleshky District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the war crime that led to the death of a person under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Prosecutors, together with police investigators, are conducting the necessary investigative actions to document another war crime committed by the Russian military.
