It is reported that the Security Service of Ukraine has completed a special pre-trial investigation into former Ukrainian athlete Olga Davydko, who is hiding in the temporarily occupied Crimea and financing the occupation groups of the russian federation.

The prosecutor's office has already sent to court an indictment against the former Ukrainian athlete on the fact of aiding the aggressor state, for which she faces up to 12 years in prison.

The accused began competing in the russian national team in 2016, but took a break from her career after russian athletes were banned from participating in international competitions

- the statement said.

The investigation established that the athlete organized and headed a so-called "charity fund" in Crimea to support the occupying army. She repeatedly held fundraisers to purchase diesel generators, radios, thermal imagers and other resources for russian military personnel, who, among other things, were engaged in hostilities against Ukraine in the city of Bakhmut.

In addition, she gave interviews to pro-russian media, promoting propaganda narratives to influence the formation of the information space in Crimea.
