Ukraine has approved 95% of local budgets, the Finance Ministry said on Friday, releasing statistics by region, UNN reports.

"As of December 26, 2024, the Ministry of Finance has information on the approval of 1520 budgets, which is 95% of their total number (1597)," the Ministry said.
In particular, as indicated, it was approved:
- 24 regional budgets and the budget of the city of Kyiv;
- 114 district budgets (5 were not approved);
- 1369 budgets of territorial communities (69 were not approved);
- 12 district budgets in cities (3 were not approved).
"It should be noted that the local budgets of Volyn, Dnipro, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions have been approved in full," the statement said.

In accordance with Article 77 of the Budget Code of Ukraine, local budgets are approved by December 25 (inclusive) of the year preceding the planned year.
"In order to ensure the full functioning of public sector institutions, their continuous provision of services to consumers, etc., local governments need to take measures to speed up the process of approving local budgets and submitting information on their approval to the Ministry of Finance using the LOGICA IAS," the Ministry said.
