Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Easter congratulated the children of fallen defenders who gathered on the territory of St. Sophia Cathedral, and called on businesses and concerned Ukrainians to join in supporting the families of fallen defenders. This was reported by UNN with reference to a post on the head of state's Telegram channel.
Details
According to Zelenskyy, during the preparation of the Easter greeting, it became known that nearby, also on the territory of St. Sophia Cathedral, at the same time, children of defenders from Kyiv and Kyiv region, whose parents died in the war, gathered.
The President said that an excursion, an Easter egg hunt quest, spring songs, hayivky (traditional Ukrainian spring songs and dances), and stained glass master classes were prepared for the children. The event was organized by the Platform of Socially Responsible Business "To the Children of Our Defenders", which unites entrepreneurs and the state around supporting children who have lost their parents due to the war.
As Zelenskyy noted, the platform participants constantly support the families of the defenders: they organize trips, recreation, activities and training, and also create important moments of warmth and care for the children.
So we joined such a moment in Sophia and came to congratulate the children on Easter. The smiles with which we were met are priceless. We want and need to do everything so that the children of those who gave the most valuable for Ukrainian security never lose faith in the world
The head of state also called on business representatives, entrepreneurs, and all concerned people in various regions to join the "To the Children of Our Defenders" platform, support its initiatives, and launch their own projects to help the children of defenders.
Not only on holidays - every day our gratitude to everyone who fights for Ukraine. And all our care - to their loved ones
