Ukraine will never ask its allies to send their troops to Ukrainian territory to participate in the war against Russia, because half of the partners will immediately stop their support. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint press conference with President of the European Council Antonio Costa, reports UNN.
"We will never ask to drop troops on our territory. Do we want to? Of course we will be happy. Because (Russia-ED.) is an ally with North Korea, with Iran, with other allies, and we ourselves are at war. Yes, with the help of our partners, but we are on the ground ourselves," Zelensky said.
The president stressed that if he raises this issue, then immediately half of the allies will stop their support.
" if I raise the issue, I will say: Please, we need your troops on the ground, with or without NATO, if I raise this issue, this topic, then immediately half of our allies will stop their support. That's why I can't take any chances. But if you ask me if we want to - yes. We cannot be against any great support and assistance to Ukraine from our partners," Zelensky explained.
