A 30-year-old woman fell out of the window of the 9th floor of a high-rise building in Kharkiv while drinking alcohol, she was taken to the hospital, her condition is assessed as serious, and criminal proceedings have been opened, the Kharkiv regional police reported on Friday, UNN reports.

"On August 8, around 19:16, the police received a report that a woman had fallen out of the window of a high-rise building on Akademika Pavlova Street," the statement said.
"She was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries. Doctors assess the victim's condition as serious," law enforcement officers said.
The police found that "while drinking alcohol, a 30-year-old woman fell out of a ninth-floor window". During the inspection of the scene, as indicated, material evidence was found and seized, which was sent for expert examination. A number of forensic examinations have been scheduled.
A criminal proceeding was opened over the incident under Part 2 Article 15, Part 1 Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
