Sriram Krishnan is leaving his post as White House AI advisor. He will continue to advise the Trump administration as an external expert.

The White House's chief advisor on artificial intelligence, Sriram Krishnan, has announced his resignation. Following his departure, he will continue to collaborate with the U.S. administration as an external advisor. This was reported by Bloomberg, according to UNN.

According to the publication, Sriram Krishnan was invited by U.S. President Donald Trump to help shape artificial intelligence policy during his second presidential term. 

He was a key partner in the administration's AI action plan, including policy initiatives and international diplomacy, as part of efforts to ensure "American AI dominance," 

– wrote David Sacks, the White House head of artificial intelligence and crypto.

According to David Sacks, after his resignation, Krishnan will continue to work with the White House as an external advisor. Meanwhile, Sriram Krishnan himself, commenting on his departure, stated: "After a break, I will be working on solving some of the major problems America faces in AI (more on that later)."
