Polling stations have opened in Hungary for voting in the parliamentary elections. Citizens are electing candidates in single-mandate constituencies and party lists. This is reported by local media, writes UNN.

Five political forces are participating in the elections. The main contenders are considered to be the ruling Fidesz party of the current Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who has headed the government since 2010, and the Tisza party led by Péter Magyar, who left Fidesz in 2024 and moved to the opposition.
According to independent sociological surveys, "Tisza" has a high chance of winning. At the same time, analytical centers close to the government predict that "Fidesz" may retain a majority in parliament.
