Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv RMA, met with Geoffroy Didier, speaker of the French Ile-de-France region, and Cédric Guillon-Lavocat, director of the region's European department, on the sidelines of the 4th international exhibition and conference ReBuild Ukraine Construction & Energy, UNN reports.
"This region is a twin of Kyiv region. We discussed with Mr. Didier the possibility of maximizing the involvement of communities in the French region in supporting the Victory Plan and adopting an appeal to the national government. I handed him the appeal recently adopted by the regional council and noted that I was ready to present it personally. Mr. Didier assured me that he would do everything to support us on this path. Security is the foundation on which everything else is built: development, recovery, and the future," Kravchenko told .
He added that Kyiv region is seeking to increase the number of investors to rebuild the region. According to him, the basis of this process is security and a just peace.
"That is why I am using every opportunity to involve as many allies as possible in supporting President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Victory Plan," Kravchenko said.
The parties also discussed another important issue - increasing energy independence and increasing the number of cogeneration units. In the context of daily shelling, we are looking for investments to increase the number of such plants in Kyiv region and ensure stable electricity supply even in critical conditions.
"I also invited our partners to join the reconstruction of educational institutions in Kyiv region that were destroyed as a result of the full-scale Russian invasion. We have already implemented projects where international partners choose an object and fully control its reconstruction. I thanked Mr. Didier for the consistent support of the French people for Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor," added the head of the Kyiv RMA.
