The counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent in Donetsk region, who was adjusting Russian strikes on Ukrainian defenders. The detainee turned out to be a 58-year-old Archpriest of the Pokrovsk Vicariate of the UOC (MP).
According to the case materials, the cleric was recruited by the FSB through his daughter, who lives in Russia and wrote a letter to Putin to obtain Russian citizenship for her mother and sister from Ukraine.
After sending "correspondence" to the Kremlin, the figure was remotely contacted by an employee of the Russian special service.
The FSB representative promised the archpriest to "evacuate" his family to the Russian Federation with the registration of citizenship of the aggressor country and assistance "at first". But in exchange for cooperation. The cleric agreed to this "proposal" and began to collect information about the location of reserve command posts, fortified areas and logistics centers of Ukrainian troops in the Volnovakha district.
According to the traitor's coordinates, the occupiers planned to use a whole arsenal of weapons of destruction against the Defense Forces of Ukraine: guided aerial bombs, missile weapons and barrel artillery.
The enemy's intentions, as stated in the post, were thwarted by SBU officers.
The traitor was detained, preventing him from sending a "report" with intelligence to the FSB.
During the search, a mobile phone with evidence of working for the enemy was seized from the detainee. On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the agent about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed by a prior conspiracy by a group of persons under martial law).
The perpetrator is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
