On August 20, a new grant competition "PROgrowth" was launched, within which participants will be able to receive up to UAH 15,000 for training and professional development, UNN reports.
This is a pilot project that MHP Community is implementing with MHP in two communities - Myronivska (Kyiv region) and Kanivska (Cherkasy region).
Tetiana Volochai, Head of the Community Development Council of MHP Community Foundation, said that over the past 9 years, the Foundation has implemented a number of programs to support local social initiatives and small and medium-sized businesses. The aim of the new competition is to develop human capital, which is key to community development.
"Community development is impossible without people development, so education and professional growth and broadening of horizons are important. Without our own self-development, we cannot build a society we want to live in. And this is the mission of our Foundation. That is why we are launching grants for personal development to enable people to learn and improve themselves and the community," said Volochai.
The total budget of the competition is UAH 400,000. Participants will be able to receive from UAH 5,000 to 15,000 per project. The grant can be used by employees of social and humanitarian, medical, historical and cultural institutions; individuals/individual entrepreneurs engaged in social and humanitarian, medical, historical and cultural activities.
Participants will be able to use the funds for training, publishing books, or participating in conferences and forums to share their experiences.
Applications will be accepted until September 30. The winners will be announced on October 11.
