Ukrainian cameraman Mykyta Kuzmenko has been nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards for his work on the video for the song "Illusion" by singer Dua Lipa, which was filmed in the municipal pool of Montjuïc in Barcelona.
In cinematography, Mykyta Kuzmenko is known for his work on the film The Living Fire, which received a special jury award at the Hot Docs Toronto Documentary Film Festival in 2015 and two awards at the Ukrainian National Golden Dzyga Awards in 2017, including for his cinematography.
He also worked on the film Pamphire, for which he won the award for Best Cinematography at the Raindance Film Festival.
Kuzmenko has directed music videos for various artists, including Jamala ("Tangled"), Sophie Willy ("Connected"), Monatik ("Jomo"), and the joint video for Post Malone and The Weeknd ("One Right Now"). He also won the Best Cinematography award at the MTV VMA 2022 for his work on Harry Styles' "As It Was" video.
In general, Taylor Swift and Post Malone were the main contenders for the MTV Video Music Awards 2024, having significantly benefited from their joint song "Fortnight", which gained huge success.
