In the first half, Oleksandr Yatsyk, a central midfielder of the Zorya football club (Luhansk), scored the goal when he closed down Ilya Krupsky's shot from the penalty spot.
In the 40th minute, Shakhtar's midfielder Oleh Ocheretko received a pass in front of the penalty area and, after clearing the defense, scored a shot into the right corner.
Valentyn Rubchynskyi (Dnipro-1) brought the game to an almost crushing score, receiving a pass from Ocheretko and beating the goalkeeper.
