The Security Service of Ukraine has заочно notified two admirals of the Russian Federation and their subordinate, who commanded the shelling of UNESCO sites in Odesa in November 2023, UNN reports.

The Security Service has collected evidence and expert opinions on the rashists who commanded the air strikes on Odesa on November 5, 2023. At that time, the occupiers shelled UNESCO World Heritage sites located in the central part of the port city.
As a result of the enemy attack, historical buildings, including the Pototsky Palace and the Boffo House, were damaged.
According to the investigation, the order to carry out the shelling was given by Russian Admiral Viktor Sokolov, commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy.
Then his deputy, Vice Admiral Arkady Romanov, planned the enemy strike and gave the appropriate order to his subordinate.
We are talking about Colonel Oleksiy Shcherbakov, who commands the 15th separate coastal missile brigade of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
To carry out the air attack, the occupiers used a 3M55 Onyx medium-range anti-ship missile.

Based on the collected evidence, investigators of the Security Service заочно notified Sokolov, Romanov and Shcherbakov of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war provided for by international treaties, consent to be bound by which has been granted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as giving an order to commit such acts by prior conspiracy by a group of persons).
Comprehensive measures are underway to bring all Russian war criminals to justice. Each of them will be found and punished.
