Turkey has expressed concern over a possible escalation of the situation in the Black Sea following a drone strike on a cargo ship owned by a Turkish company. This was reported by Sky News, according to UNN.

According to the Ukrainian side, on the night of May 29, one or more Russian drones attacked the vessel ANT while it was transiting the maritime export corridor in the Black Sea.

As a result of the strike, the vessel sustained damage, and two crew members were injured. The Ukrainian Navy released photos showing smoke over the ship following the attack.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey stated that they are closely monitoring the situation and called on all parties to refrain from steps that could lead to an uncontrolled escalation of the war.
