Donald Trump warned Iran of the risk of destruction due to stalling negotiations. The parties cannot reach an agreement regarding the nuclear program and peace terms.

U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran that "clock is ticking" as negotiations to end the war have reached a deadlock, UNN reports.

"For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, fast, or there won’t be anything left of them. Time is of the essence," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

This message came amid a conversation between the U.S. President and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, as reported by the Times of Israel, citing Netanyahu's office.

Meanwhile, as the BBC notes, Iranian media reported that the U.S. has made no concrete concessions in response to Tehran's latest proposals to end the conflict.

The lack of compromise from Washington will lead to a "deadlock in negotiations," the semi-official Mehr news agency reports.

Earlier this week, the U.S. President warned that the ceasefire was on "life support" after rejecting Tehran's demands, calling them "absolutely unacceptable."

Esmaeil Baghaei, a spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, insisted that they were "responsible" and "generous."

According to the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim, these included an immediate end to the war on all fronts—which the BBC notes is a reference to Israel's ongoing attacks on the Iranian-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon—an end to the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports, and guarantees of no further attacks on Iran.

They also reportedly included a demand for compensation for war damages and an emphasis on Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

The semi-official Iranian news agency Fars reported on Sunday that Washington had put forward five conditions in response to Tehran's proposal.

These reportedly included a demand that Iran keep only one nuclear facility in operation and transfer its stockpiles of highly enriched uranium to the U.S.

On Friday, Trump suggested he would agree to a 20-year suspension of Iran's nuclear program—a major stumbling block between the two countries—which appeared to confirm a shift in position from demanding its total termination.
