US President Donald Trump doubts that China is supplying Iran with "portable anti-aircraft missiles," but he will impose tariffs on Chinese products if it happens, UNN reports with reference to AP.
Details
The US President stated that his threat to impose 50% tariffs on goods from countries that sold weapons to Iran is directed against China.
In an interview with Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," Trump said he had heard reports of China supplying Iran with anti-aircraft "portable missiles." He downplayed the likelihood of China supplying weapons to Iran, but said their goods would be taxed if it happened.
"I doubt they'll do that, because I have a relationship with them, and I think they won't do it, although maybe they were a little involved in it at first," Trump said. "But if we catch them doing it, they'll get a 50% tariff."
