US President-elect Donald Trump said that Ukraine "probably" should not expect the current level of military aid from the US under the new administration. He said this in an interview with NBC News, reports UNN.

In the interview, Trump said he is actively trying to end the war in Ukraine, "if I can", adding that Ukraine "may" be able to count on not receiving as much military aid from the US when he returns to office.

He did not commit to maintaining US participation in NATO, the European military alliance that has been a bulwark against Russia since World War II. According to him, "if they pay the bills, certainly", he will maintain America's role in the alliance.
