The administration of US President Donald Trump has exempted smartphones, computers and other electronics from mutual duties, potentially mitigating the consumer shock from prices and simultaneously benefiting the giants of the electronic industry. This is reported by CNBC, writes UNN.

The exceptions narrow the scope of duties, except for goods from under Trump's 125 percent tariff on goods from China and its basic 10 percent global tariff for almost all other countries.
New tariff guidelines also include exceptions for other electronic devices and components, including semiconductors, solar cells, flat television displays, flash drives, memory cards and solid-state drives used to store data.
