The case against two participants of the "DPR," accused of torturing a civilian woman and committing sexual violence against her in the "Izolyatsia" prison, has been sent to court. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, writes UNN.
Prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General have sent an indictment to court against two participants of the terrorist organization "DPR,"
They are charged with cruel treatment of a civilian resident of Donetsk region, who was illegally detained and tortured in the "Izolyatsia" prison in 2021–2022. One of the accused also committed violent acts of a sexual nature against her.
According to the investigation, after 2014, the men voluntarily joined the terrorist organization "DPR" and in 2021 held positions as head of the counter-terrorism department and investigator of the so-called "Ministry of State Security of the DPR."
From March 2021 to October 2022, one of the accused, together with accomplices, persecuted a 38-year-old pro-Ukrainian resident of Donetsk region, trying to intimidate her and force her to confess to cooperation with Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
The woman was illegally deprived of her liberty and held for about a month in the illegal "Izolyatsia" prison, set up on the territory of a former insulation materials plant seized in 2014 in Donetsk.
The victim was beaten, tortured, threatened with murder, sexual violence, and reprisals against her children. One of the accused humiliated the woman, committed violent acts of a sexual nature against her, and also repeatedly took her to deserted places where he continued to beat, intimidate, and threaten her.
Due to torture and threats to her children, the victim was forced to give incriminating testimony, which was planned to be used to fabricate a criminal case. Subsequently, both accused repeatedly interrogated the woman, and each time she denied her involvement in the alleged crimes, they again used physical violence against her.

Earlier, the former head of the illegal "Izolyatsia" prison, Denys Kulykovskyi, was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. The court established that in 2014–2019, he ensured the illegal detention of 22 civilians. Most of them were subjected to torture, and some were also forced to perform military-related work in the interests of the so-called "MDB DPR."
On January 29, 2026, the Supreme Court left the verdict against Kulykovskyi unchanged, and the cassation appeal of his defense lawyer was dismissed.
