The situation in the operational area of the Kharkiv Joint Task Force remains difficult and has signs of escalation. Russians are conducting internal rotations and increasing their military presence in the border areas. This was reported by the spokesman for the operational and tactical group "Kharkiv" Vitaliy Sarantsev during a telethon, according to a correspondent of UNN.
"The situation in the operational area of the "Kharkiv" Joint Task Force remains complicated, tense and has signs of escalation. As in the previous days, the enemy has concentrated its efforts in the areas of Hlyboke and Vovchansk. In Vovchansk, it is conducting an internal rotation of assault groups. Street fighting continues in the city. The enemy is trying to advance, attacking head-on in the center, and is also trying to advance along the flanks," said Sarantsev.
According to him, assault groups of the first assault company of the 83rd separate airborne assault brigade were observed moving to the frontline positions near Tykhyne.
"In the area of Starytsia, the enemy is moving personnel to replenish the current shortage. In the area of Hlyboke, the enemy conducted evacuation activities, strengthened the defense, and is mining possible areas of advance of the Defense Forces," Sarantsev said
According to him, the enemy is also reconnoitering the routes of advance and preparing for assault operations.
"In general, the overall picture looks like this: the enemy is conducting internal rotations, increasing its military presence in the border areas, trying to conduct sabotage and reconnaissance activities... We are adequately responding to the enemy's actions and strengthening the defense of our troops in threatened areas. We are building up our forces, engaging additional units. We are providing ammunition, drones and electronic warfare equipment," Sarantsev said.
