The Russian army has significantly intensified attacks with various types of weapons on settlements in the Donetsk region. The invaders are shifting their efforts to destroy logistical routes and possible positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Toretsk direction. This was announced on Saturday, March 29, on the air of the national telethon by the spokesman of the operational-tactical group "Luhansk" Dmytro Zaporozhets, reports UNN.

According to him, the Russian occupation army in the Toretsk direction is attacking settlements, probable positions of Ukrainian soldiers and the logistics network. The Russian army uses tactical aviation on Ukrainian positions, regardless of weather conditions.
Today we have more than 300 air strikes throughout the operational zone. If each time the enemy drops three KABs, then in less than a month we have more than 100 KABs. Recently, the enemy has focused its efforts on the Toretsk direction - trying to destroy logistical routes, possible positions of the Defense Forces, the nearest settlements. Dmytro Zaporozhets also noted that on March 29, it was foggy in the Donetsk region, and the enemy had already carried out three air strikes, using at least five KABs.
In addition to air bombs, the Russian army also uses drones to attack the positions of the Defense Forces. Countering drones has become one of the main tasks of the Ukrainian military.
"The main task set by the leadership of Khortytsia and our leadership is the destruction of drone control points, as well as the personnel who use them. Currently, special services are working to identify the concentration of such points if possible. If we take our operational zone, such a point was recently hit in the enemy-controlled territory at a distance of 20+ kilometers using HIMARS," Zaporozhets added.
The spokesman noted that the Toretsk direction remains the most active in the group's area of responsibility, where Russian troops are suffering heavy losses.
Reminder
During March 29, 198 combat engagements took place on the front. The hottest spot remains the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy made 73 attempts to break through the defense. In the Toretsk direction, the Russians attacked the positions of the defense forces 18 times. The occupiers focused their main efforts on the offensive near Krymske, Toretsk and in the direction of Diliivka.
