The daily reports published by the Russian Ministry of Defense on the progress of the war with Ukraine have a new item in them - the "Belgorod direction". Judging by press releases, it is the responsibility of the "West" group, UNN reports with reference to the BBC.

Previously, in its regular reports, the Russian military only mentioned the names of Ukrainian settlements. The military representatives mentioned, among other things, the Donetsk, Kupyansk, Avdiivka, Kherson, and South Donetsk directions.
"Belgorod and the Belgorod region have been attacked daily since the beginning of last week with drones and multiple rocket launchers. During this time, at least 19 people have been killed," the statement said.
The day before, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that the Russian authorities intend to ensure the security of the border regions, but did not specify how they intend to do so.
