As of 15:00 on Friday, after a massive Russian attack on DniproHES, power engineers managed to get some of the equipment back online. Network restrictions are in place for consumers in Odesa and Dnipro regions. Also in Khmelnytsky region, more than 2,000 subscribers are without power after a large-scale blackout. As noted, power engineers, together with emergency services, continue to work to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and restore power supply.
High-voltage lines in a number of regions have been partially energized. In particular, the operation of the overhead power line OHL-750 kV Dniprovska, which feeds Zaporizhzhya NPP , has been restored.
Fires have also been localized at the affected generation facilities (TPPs and HPPs) in several regions.
Despite significant damage, power engineers at DniproHES managed to put some of the equipment back into operation. However, the plant is not yet generating electricity. The damage is being inspected to determine and assess the extent of the damage
Reportedly, after emergency repairs, consumers in Vinnytsia and Lviv regions have been supplied with electricity. In Zaporizhzhya region, network restrictions have been lifted, but there are still blackouts due to the fighting.
Network restrictions remain in place for consumers in Odesa region (restrictions for more than 230,000 consumers) and Dnipropetrovs'k region (150,000 consumers are disconnected, restrictions apply to more than 10,000 subscribers). In Khmelnytsky region, more than 2,000 customers were left without electricity after a large-scale power outage (about 200,000 were left without power). Restoration works are underway.
The most difficult situation is in Kharkiv, according to the Energy Ministry. About 600,000 consumers remain without power due to significant damage. Work is underway to restore power to the city's critical infrastructure.
