The Kremlin's investment representative, Kirill Dmitriev, stated that he held a telephone conversation yesterday with U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, UNN reports, citing Russian media.
"The most important topic is economic cooperation, as we see many joint economic initiatives that we can implement, and we are actively preparing them," he said.
According to him, the Russian Federation is preparing "for the possibility of joint investment in various projects beneficial to both Russia and the United States."
Dmitriev stated that Russia is in a "good dialogue" with the American envoy and specified that the projects would be carried out both on "Russian territory" and in the "Arctic," including "high-tech and infrastructure projects."
"Active negotiations are underway," he added.
Dmitriev has met with Witkoff and Kushner several times as part of Washington's efforts to reach a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
