The High Anti-Corruption Court once again refused former Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak’s request to have his electronic bracelet removed. This was reported by UNN.

The lawyers insisted that they were not challenging the obligation to wear the bracelet itself, but demanded that its conditions be clarified, calling the decision "unreasoned."
Yermak’s defense also believes that the investigating judge’s ruling is unsubstantiated and contains an unclear operative part. The lawyers insisted that the hearing be held behind closed doors, citing security concerns.
However, the court did not agree with the defense’s arguments and left the previous ruling unchanged.
Andrii Yermak himself did not attend the hearing, citing objective reasons.

Andrii Yermak is an individual suspected in a case involving the legalization of UAH 460 million in an elite construction project near Kyiv. This is a crime provided for by Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (legalization of property obtained through criminal means).
The article provides for imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, and confiscation of property.
On May 14 of this year, a HACC judge ordered the former head of the Office of the President to be held in custody with the possibility of release on UAH 140 million bail. SAPO prosecutors had requested that the amount be set at UAH 180 million.
On May 18, the HACC confirmed that UAH 140 million in bail had been posted for Yermak. Subsequently, Andrii Yermak was released on bail, and his defense filed an appeal.
