The European Commission has agreed to allocate EUR 4.1 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, reports UNN.
According to him, the EC gave a positive assessment of the reforms and noted that the Ukrainian government had fulfilled the necessary indicators to receive this tranche.
“We expect the EU Council to approve the decision as soon as possible. After that, the total amount of support under the Ukraine Facility for this year will amount to EUR 16.1 billion,” Shmyhal said.
He also thanked the EU for its unwavering support of Ukraine.
“Even despite the full-scale war with Russia, we continue to reform and transform for the sake of rapprochement with Europe and full membership in the EU,” the Prime Minister summarized.
