The son of Novregia's crown princess Mette-Marit, 27-year-old Marius Borg Høibi has been charged with bodily harm. The information was confirmed to NRK by defense counsel Oyvind Bratlien. In connection with this circumstance, the crown princess postponed her trip to the Olympic Games in Paris.
According to media reports, Marius Borg Hoiby was detained by police after verbally and physically assaulting a woman whose identity has not been released.
The princess's son was arrested in Oslo in connection with the events that took place on the night of August 1 to 2. Police arrived at the scene, but he managed to escape. Hoiby was arrested elsewhere. The victim was taken to hospital with a concussion.
