The sea drone that exploded this morning in the port of Constanța was part of a Ukrainian military operation against Russian aggression. This was stated on the social network "X" by the President of Romania Nicușor Dan, reports UNN.
Details
According to him, due to the actions of Russian electronic warfare (EW), Ukraine lost control over four such drones. One of the drones exploded in the port of Constanța, the second in the sea near the port, and two more exploded approximately 145 km east of the port.
Information received in the morning from the Ukrainian side allowed for the evacuation of the zone where there was a danger of explosion. None of these drones caused casualties or significant damage. At the moment, there is no longer a threat to Romanian citizens or national infrastructure. Throughout the day, we have been in constant contact with all involved institutions
The Romanian President also added that official Bucharest maintained operational contact with Ukraine and partners from the EU and NATO.
