The suspect will remain in custody without the right to bail until September 5, 2026. He and his lawyer participated in the hearing via video link.
The suspect's defense filed a motion to hold the hearing in closed session and also insisted on releasing the defendant on bail. The court rejected both motions.
The family of the deceased 12-year-old Hryhorii Hlushych expressed their satisfaction that the defendant will remain in custody.

On June 8, the court already chose a preventive measure for the perpetrator of the accident, Pavlo Pleshivtsev - detention without the right to bail. The term expires on September 3, so the court convened to extend it.
