Some MPs complain about malfunctioning voting cards for the bill banning the Moscow church. They filed applications to have their “yes” votes counted after a technical glitch.

Some MPs' cards did not work during the vote on the bill to ban the Moscow church . The MPs complained about the technical fee, UNN reports.

Details

In particular, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko wrote on Telegram that there was a technical problem during the voting. My card did not work under strange circumstances. Therefore, I urgently filed an application to have my vote counted. I fully support the ban on the activities of the Russian church in Ukraine!!!" said Goncharenko. 

Also, according to him, he was not the only one who had a technical failure with the cards - applications for the vote to be counted were submitted by Mariana Bezuhla, Serhiy Ionushas (Servant of the People), Natalia Pipa (Holos). 

"My card didn't work in the vote against the Moscow church, just like in the signal vote before that, I didn't notice it, I was answering the military in WhatsApp. I wrote a statement to count my vote in favor :(," Bezugla wrote on Telegram.

Context 

The Verkhovna Rada has passed bill No. 8371 banning the activities of religious organizations affiliated with the Russian Federation. The law will enter into force in 30 days, but UOC-MP communities will have 9 months to break ties with the Russian Orthodox Church.
