Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced a joint meeting with representatives of more than one hundred military units and command bodies of the Defense Forces that use unmanned systems. According to him, an important role in the implementation of innovations is played by the initiative of commanders of various levels - from lieutenants to colonels, which allows for the rapid scaling of effective solutions to all Armed Forces.
The competition with the Russian aggressor continues in three directions: the quality and number of unmanned systems units, technologies, and the capabilities of economies
During the meeting, company, battalion, regiment, and brigade commanders shared practical experience in using unmanned systems. The effectiveness of organizational and tactical solutions, in particular regarding the use of Middle Strike drones and the results of the work of newly created unmanned systems battalions in territorial defense brigades, were also discussed.
The Commander-in-Chief noted that Ukrainian military personnel already have significant results in using reconnaissance and strike UAVs of aircraft and multirotor types, FPV drones, radio-controlled and fiber-optic drones, interceptor drones, and ground robotic systems.
At the same time, according to Syrskyi, a number of problematic issues remain regarding procurement, regulatory framework, financial support for R&D workshops, and organizational changes in unmanned systems units.
We have no other way than to strengthen the power and effectiveness of our unmanned systems to win this confrontation and at the same time save the lives of our soldiers
