Sweden is preparing to transfer several Jas 39 Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine. This was reported by Aftonbladet, according to UNN.

According to the publication, the Swedish government plans to transfer Jas 39 C/D version aircraft to Ukraine. Simultaneously, Stockholm is to begin negotiations regarding the possible sale of newer Jas 39E fighters to Kyiv.
As Aftonbladet claims, Ukraine will pay for the aircraft using European Union credit funds. The decision could be officially announced as early as today.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will visit the Uppland Air Wing in Uppsala on Thursday, where he will hold a press conference regarding international cooperation in the aviation sector.
