April frosts in Ukraine may affect the future harvest of fruit trees, including apricots. There may be a large crop loss. This was told to a journalist of UNN by the head of the NGO "Ukrgardenprom" Volodymyr Pechko.
We are still monitoring this situation. Of course, apricots and some berry crops have already blossomed, so there may be a high probability of large losses due to frosts. But such temperature drops are not isolated cases. In principle, there is a pattern that in April and even in May in the 10th there is a high probability of frost in Ukraine
When asked which fruit trees in which regions are most likely to be affected, Pechko replied: "We see that this trend persists throughout Ukraine. Both in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Zakarpattia."
