Spain has decided to deploy the Armed Forces to support the Civil Guard in Ceuta after a massive illegal arrival of migrants from Morocco. This was reported by sources in the country's ministries of defense and interior, according to EFE, writes UNN.

According to the agency, military personnel will operate under the coordination of the operational command and will assist the Civil Guard in ensuring security.

In recent days, thousands of people have illegally entered the Spanish enclave of Ceuta via the breakwater or by swimming. The Spanish government has stated that it is working to return all illegal migrants to Morocco.

Additional forces are being deployed to Ceuta

To strengthen border protection, an additional platoon of 29 Civil Guard officers has already been sent to Ceuta, and two more platoons of 40 people will arrive shortly. Additionally, the public security unit will be reinforced with another 30 law enforcement officers from Andalusia.

Furthermore, two dive teams, a maritime service vessel, additional boat captains, mechanics, drone pilots will be sent to the city, and the Civil Guard's Air Service will be reinforced with a helicopter.
