Deep-strike units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the "Grushovaya" oil pumping station on the night of June 8, UNN reports, citing a statement from the SOF.
Details
Earlier, the General Staff reported the strike on the "Grushovaya" oil transshipment base in the area of the Grushovaya Balka settlement, Krasnodar Krai.
A fire was recorded on the territory of the facility. The extent of the damage is being clarified.
As reported by the Special Operations Forces, this production site of the "Sheskharis" transshipment complex is part of the largest Russian seaport, Novorossiysk, in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation.
"The SOF, together with the SBS and other components of the Security and Defense Forces, conducted a series of strikes on the facility, which accounts for about 12% of all Russian maritime oil exports," the SOF reported.
"Sheskharis" is a major oil export hub where up to seven tankers can be loaded simultaneously. The oil pipelines of the Russian state company "Transneft" converge at this largest terminal in southern Russia.
The "Grushovaya" intermediate oil pumping station and its infrastructure in this system allow for the processing of over 500–600 tank cars per day. The station's automated reservoirs have a total capacity of 1.3 million cubic meters.
According to OSINT analysts, the strike was carried out using drones manufactured by Fire Point.
Reminder
Middle-strike units of the Special Operations Forces carried out strikes on two fuel infrastructure facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of June 7.
The "Semykolodezyanskaya" oil depot in the village of Yedy-Kuyu (Lenine), located approximately 200 km from the line of contact, was hit. The facility is used by Russian troops as a logistics hub for storing and transporting fuel oil, diesel fuel, and other petroleum products.
On the night of August 8, in a series of drone strikes, the Special Operations Forces hit a junction of two Russian main oil pipelines in the Volgograd region of the RF, a radar station in the Krasnodar Krai of the RF, and an oil depot in occupied Crimea.
