Viktor Skrypnyk resigned as head coach of Metalist 1925 after the defeat of Left Bank in the tournament of four, in which the right to play in the UPL this season was played out.

Today, the president of Metalist 1925, Volodymyr Nosov, and the team's head coach, Viktor Skrypnyk, had a conversation. The club's owner granted Skrypnyk's request to terminate cooperation by mutual agreement. Along with Viktor Skrypnyk, his coaching staff also leaves the club
It is noted that the club will announce who will continue to coach the team in the near future.

In the 2023/2024 UPL season, Metalist 1925 finished last in the table and was relegated to the First League. However, after Dnipro-1 was relegated from the UPL, the club got a chance to retain its registration in the top division.
The Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association has decided to replace SC Dnipro-1 in the Ukrainian Premier League: a four-club transition tournament will be held, with the winner replacing the sports club from Dnipro.
Participants: “Minaj, Metalist 1925, Left Bank and Epicenter. Yesterday, Skrypnyk's team lost in a penalty shootout to Left Bank and was relegated to the First League. In the final match of the tournament, Left Bank will meet Minaj, which also beat Epicenter in a penalty shootout, for the right to play in the UPL.
Viktor Skrypnyk has been in charge of Metalist 1925 since December 20, 2023. Under Skrypnyk's leadership, the Kharkiv team played a total of 14 matches, including only official games, in which they won 1 victory, 1 draw and 8 defeats.
