From January to March, Ukraine's imports totaled $16 billion and exports $10 billion. At the same time, taxed imports amounted to $13.8 billion, which is 86% of the total.

Between January and March 2024, Ukraine imported goods totaling $16 billion, while exports amounted to $10 billion. Of these, taxed imports amounted to $13.8 billion, which is 86% of the total volume of imported goods.
The tariff burden per 1 kg of taxed imports in the first three months of 2024 reached $0.49 per kg, showing an increase of 8% compared to the same period in 2023.
The largest suppliers of goods to Ukraine were China, with imports worth $3 billion, Poland - $1.6 billion, and Germany - $1.3 billion.
Ukraine exported most of its goods to Poland - $992 million, Spain - $813 million, and China - $789 million.
In the first quarter of 2024, 65% of the total volume of goods imported to Ukraine was in the following categories: machinery, equipment and vehicles worth $5.3 billion, of which UAH 38.9 billion in customs duties were paid (30% of total revenues); chemical products worth $3 billion, with customs duties of UAH 21.3 billion (16% of total revenues); fuel and energy products worth $2 billion, with customs duties of UAH 31.8 billion (25% of total revenues).
The top three exported goods from Ukraine were foodstuffs worth $6.5 billion, metals and metal products worth $1.1 billion, and mineral products worth $924 million. In the first three months of 2024, UAH 94.4 million was paid to the budget during customs clearance of exports of goods subject to export duties.
