Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries and increasing sanctions pressure on russia. The head of the Ukrainian government said this on his Telegram channel, UNN reports.

According to him, restrictions need to be tightened in order to weaken the aggressor's ability to produce new missiles and drones. Shmyhal emphasized that the effective application of sanctions is an extremely important area of countering russian weapons.

The parties also discussed economic cooperation between Ukraine and the United States. Shmyhal emphasized that access to markets and trade is the most effective way to support the Ukrainian economy.
