While the weekend before Christmas, the figures of 150 thousand were maintained throughout Saturday and Sunday, for example, 68 thousand people crossed the border on Christmas Day itself. On the holiday itself, there are not too many people who want to cross the border and be on the road. That's why the dynamics decreased at that time, but later the passenger traffic started to grow again. Two days ago, it was at the level of 115 thousand people per day, and yesterday 96 thousand people crossed the border
He noted that before Christmas, border guards observed a preference for entry into Ukraine, and afterwards - for exit.
“It's not a huge advantage, but still, more citizens cross the border every day to leave Ukraine. It should be added that 85% of the total passenger traffic is made up of Ukrainian citizens. 15% are foreigners crossing our border. The border with Poland still accounts for 50% of the total passenger traffic. This direction is the busiest and most popular for crossing the border,” added Demchenko.
