The Ryazan oil refinery stopped processing oil after an attack by Ukrainian drones on July 29. Reuters reports this citing two informed sources, writes UNN.

According to the agency, the shutdown of the enterprise may last about two weeks. During this time, it is necessary to restart the main and auxiliary units, adjust technological processes, and restore product quality parameters.
Reuters notes that the plant's infrastructure had previously been damaged during a drone attack on May 15, after which the enterprise's operations were also temporarily suspended.
Despite the halt in oil processing, the plant continued to sell petroleum products on the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange. On Thursday, batches of gasoline and diesel fuel were put up for trading.
According to Reuters, in 2024, the Ryazan refinery processed 13.1 million tons of oil, which accounted for about 4.9% of all oil refining in Russia. The enterprise also produced 2.2 million tons of gasoline, 3.4 million tons of diesel fuel, and 4.3 million tons of fuel oil.
