The Sheskharis terminal has resumed operations at one berth after fires caused by a UAV attack. It is currently unknown when the port will return to full capacity.

Russia's Black Sea port of Novorossiysk partially resumed oil and fuel loading from the Sheskharis terminal on Thursday evening after operations were suspended this week due to a drone attack, two sources familiar with the port's operations said. This was reported by Reuters, writes UNN.

Details

Russia's Sheskharis oil terminal, which has a loading capacity of about 700,000 barrels of crude oil per day, stopped oil shipments on Monday after a Ukrainian drone attack caused fires at the fuel terminal and some berths.

Loading of oil tankers resumed from only one berth, and one cargo of 80,000 tons was expected to depart on Friday.

The oil loading schedule was expected to be curtailed after the strikes, and it was unclear when the port would be able to return to full operation.

According to sources, Novorossiysk also resumed fuel oil loading on Thursday. One source said that diesel fuel was also loaded from the port this week.

Recall

On April 6, drones attacked the Sheskharis oil terminal and industrial facilities in Novorossiysk. Debris fell on the territory of enterprises and a residential building in the city.
